BRIEF   We were asked to publish a project that utilises the generative nature of the web to create unique images, and also think of the context the work lives in both on and off screen.

CONCEPT   I came across a coffee pot that was left abandoned for who knows how long, and looked inside to find.... new life. What really fascinates me about mold and fungus is that it’s always so unwelcome but it’s quite mesmerizing! You can also see nature repeating itself in the micro and macro scale.

THE OUTCOME   'hyperphae' is a project that examines growth and decay and juxtaposes organised grids with fungal growth to create tension. It consists of a series of coded outcomes, built using the p5.js library. Each outcome is identifiably unique.
